Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, There came into him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious oitment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat. (Mathew 26:6-7)
And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now to unto thy governor, will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? Saith the Lord of hosts. (Malachi 1:8)
Why was this waste of the oitment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor, and they murmured against her (mark 14:4-5)
And behold, a woman in the city which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the pharisess’s house, brought brought an alabaster box of oitment, and stood at his a feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head and kissed his feet, and anointed them with oitment(Luke 7:37_38)
Then took Mary a pound of oitment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wipe his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with odour of the oitment. (John 12:13)
